Concept
A concept for an environmentally unobtrusive family home that will make a statement while being sympathetic to its surroundings.
We have received planning approval for our client’s new-build family home. The new dwelling is spread low across the site, with tiered terraces designed to sit within the existing topography and take advantage of the surrounding valley views and sun path throughout the day. The natural palette of stone and timber aims to blend and integrate the building into its context, with frameless glazing and a cantilevered structure floating above the landscape.
The building is to be constructed of reclaimed granite & timber and incorporates a significant amount of passive solar generation and battery storage, to mitigate operational energy use.
